Thank you for your continued loyalty as RCT reduces service and revises its fare structure to survive the sudden 2017 loss of $178,000 in FTA funding. The July 1 service changes are in place and Crescent City Local Route service reliability has improved. The RCTA Board approved a new fare and pass structure that will be implemented on October 1, 2017.
The new fare structure features a modest adult cash fare increase for most routes and Dial-A-Ride, but also the creation of deeply discounted senior/disabled and youth fare categories (and passes). In addition, the formerly $30 one-way cash fares on the regional route from Del Norte to Arcata will be reduced significantly. Look here and on-board the buses for more details in the coming weeks. New monthly passes for adults, seniors/disabled, and youth/students will be available for purchase in late September for October trips! Thanks again for your patience and continued loyalty to Redwood Coast Transit.
