RCTA is excited to be participating in the new Regional “Redwood Coast Express” coordinated service with partner agencies Humboldt Transit, Lake Transit, and Mendocino Transit.
The Redwood Coast Express concept features timed transfers along the US 101 Corridor between Eureka and Santa Rosa, allowing easy and seamless travel between Del Norte and the Bay Area in a single day, without booking a ticket through Amtrak or Greyhound.
The Redwood Coast Express initial schedule requires only a modest change in Route 20 schedule and fares. The northbound Route 20 trip leaving Eureka around 6pm has been adjusted slightly, see the Route 20 page for the exact times.
